Thursday morning, managed to get an outstanding bill halfway settled as it looks like we've been drastically overcharged.

Bit of a downer on the freezer, apparently it's pretty awful looking even though it works fine. So we're going to go and look at it to see how bad it is.

Noes on a freezer: we went to look at it today, and it's all rusted round the bottom like, far worse than we were first told, the guy sent me an email today saying 'now it's out in the light it looks bad, up to you if you still want it'. The inside was clean, but the outside just looks awful.

Yes ma'am! I read in another thread that you were chopping down bamboo? Did you grow it yourself? My boyfriend wants to grow some so he can make me a hand made room divider. The japanese kind with the rice paper and pretty drawings

Urgh no, our house is a rental and whoever lived here before us did exactly jack shit to the garden, for some time. I don't know when the bamboo was planted but there are two huge clumps of it dominating our back garden, and they've got such tough, thick stalks that I literally had to saw at them to get them down!

They're nice plants and I don't want them out completely, but they're in danger of taking over.

I'm also planning to dig up the 'lawn' out there as well, because it's mainly weeds and leaves now.

That sucks! Yeah, they're one of those plants that, if they aren't taken care of they definitely take over. There are a few bamboo farms down here and I always see guys out there taking care of things.
