Ah now that's the issue, and I need to double check this with them when I next go to the council, but basically if you work over 15 hours a week, you're not eligible for jobseekers benefit, which would take £50 a week from me, even if your job doesn't cover your bills. I don't know exactly how it affects my housing benefit, which is the biggest chunk, but it would probably mean I was no longer entitled to help there either.

Which is why it needs to at least equal what I'm getting right now - if it doesn't then I'll actually be doing worse than when I'm unemployed :( which sucks because I'd very much like a job and will definitely take it if I can, but it depends on whether I can!

Lol sorry, to be more clear, my housing benefit and jobseekers allowance from the council come to around £600 a month. This is the minimum we can survive on, so any job I'm offered has to equal that after tax, or do better, because otherwise we can't pay the bills :)

Gotcha then :thumbup

I've never experienced job loss b4 and hence my non-knowledge in this matter :p

Wishing you're around my area. Psychological Technician they call them- who only go to school for certification- for about 8 months to a year- earn about $5400 per month starting rate. Given you still get a $1000/month free added towards your pension. You can also avail of the Hospital Police officer training Program and while they're in school and training they get $3800/month and when working $5800/month. I can help you land in a job quick :p

Hum hum hum. Bit of a bleh day today. The boyfriend asked his best friend to come round, but his best friend has a new girlfriend and somehow them playing some football and hanging out here has mutated into my boyfriend helping the new girlfriend and his friend move house, then she'll hang around and watch them play football, then they'll all come back here.

I don't mind him bringing people back, he has his best friend round a couple of weekends a month, but his best friend now won't go anywhere without his new girlfriend because they're all loved up. Which is nice for them but I don't really know her, and have very little interest in constantly having to entertain her when my boyfriend wants to see his mate.

I'm not exactly antisocial, I'm happy to try and get to know her, but it'd be nice if it were a bit more gradual.

Actually, I am a little bit antisocial. I'm not very good with new people and it's not like I'm even choosing her to be friends with, she just happens to be our friends girlfriend. She seems nice and I'm sure we will be friends, but I hate having it pushed on me.

I rather like having a little time alone sometimes, and when the boyfriend hangs out with his mates, that's when I get it.

Well, she came with us to the zoo the other day, and we've met her once before. But this is like, the third time this month now that we'll be hanging out with her.

She does seem nice, totally :)

Bleeragh. I am so happy that our friend is happy because he was miserable when he and his ex broke up, and he's the sweetest guy. Just stop trying to force me to be best friends with her, right now :p

I feel productive :) since the man is still out helping them move, I swept up the dead leaves in the garden.

Sounds simple but actually, whoever lived here before us hadn't done a damn thing to the garden in a long time. We have an L shape of paving slabs and the rest is technically grass, but it's mainly weeds now, and the slabs were coated in leaves. As in the bottom layer had become mulch! So I had to use a rake and a broom, and I need it to rain now just to clean up the last few dried on scraps.

Now I feel great though, so I'm off to ebay to look at cheap gardening tools :D

It's always nice to tidy the nest ;)

I've got stuff to do outside too. I don't think we'll be having any more freezes so I have bushes that need to be cut back for the new season. Now that the inside is quite clean, I need to get out there and hack away.... It's looking a little wild out there. Too wild ;)

Yeah that's what I'm thinking, we seem to be past the really cold weather and the sun it actually out! Good time to get into the garden :)

We have a tiny conservatory, which is nice, and it's actually heated up today with the weather. We need to get some garden furniture I think!

Very tired! It's only 12:42 but I did lots of leaf sweeping today, then walked to my mums to feed the cats, and we went for two drives to get chinese and then to take our friends home.

Looking forward to tomorrow even more, hopefully getting up to go feed the cats again, then go food shopping and to get some stuff for the car, and some gardening tools! :D

I wish I could do yard work. Once it gets nice enough weather to work outside my job blows up and I spend all my time working (like today)

Being a cowboy does sound like a summer job, I understand entirely :ninja

It's funny because the last house I rented with my ex, I couldn't care less about the garden. It was just very inconvenient that we had to keep mowing the lawn. But now I actually want to do stuff. We have no grass, it's mainly moss and weeds, so I'm going to dig it all up and sow some grass seed :D

It's not very sunny today though. I was kind of hoping the weather would be nice, but it looks suspiciously gloomy out there.
