Judging from the date of the OP and lack of response to his/her own question since then, I somehow think the poster is playing games and asked the question just because.

My children and I talk openly about sex and always have. My thirteen year old son talks openly about puberty and sex without blushing. I think it is sad that my child's friends don't do the same with their parents.Gracie--surely you jest!!! A kid asking his/her parents about sex?--no kid in the world wants to know about sex from his/her parents!!!![]()

When children are educated and are let known what to expect from the get go, they learn to trust that you know what you (the parent) are talking about. I give my kids a heads up what to expect in situations, in relationships, and in life on a consistent basis. When my words and God's Word consistently ring true in life ahead of time, they know where to go when they have curiosities and questions.
In this scenario with this kid (the OP) I took into consideration that they may not be in a healthy functioning family and so I gave them the other option of going to the library. I still stand by the advice that they shouldn't be getting their def. of sex off the mainly warped Internet. 75% of the other information on the Internet is crap as well.
