If you have a problem with someone - do you talk to them about it or do you talk to others before talking to them about it or do you just talk to others about it?

What's your favorite time of year and why?

As a typical Gemini, the twin in me can never choose one thing, so I have to say spring and fall.. ;)

I love the renewal of nature in spring..
The new leaves and flower buds, and warm breezes are rejuvenating after the dark winter months..
The birds singing, calling each other, and busily gathering materials and preparing their nests for new families make my days a joy!..

I love fall for the amazing colors and the crisp air...
I enjoy the last days of nice weather before the cold winter settles in.. :)

I normally don't have problems with other people.. I'm very friendly and understanding and never judge anyone.. I accept everyone, the way they are..
Because of that, I accept their beliefs and ideas without trying to change them or try to make them accept my beliefs and ideas... therefore, I avoid problems..

If there should be one, or a misunderstanding of any kind, I take some time to center myself, have a talk with my inner self and draw on my life's experiences to try to find a solution.. Then I talk with the person ...~not to the person~... in a calm way, to try to solve whatever we need for the best benefit to both of us..

I don't usually talk to others about a problem I might be having with another person.. If I need an opinion or help from a third person, I will ask general questions to help clarify my feelings, and then come to my decisions or solutions..

If a friend needs my help, they know that I can help them and will keep their confidence and secrets to myself forever..
I'm an open book with my life... but I'm like a very strong steel vault with other people's secrets and lives.. :)

I don't really know what a "Peck" is.. but looking at the picture, I imagine that it has something to do with a movie. ;) Although I haven't seen one in years, I think your picture might be referring to something where the name "Willow" might be part of..

If I am on the right track with my thoughts, I will tell you that "Willow" is one of the cats I inherited from my youngest daughter, when she and her then husband went through a divorce in May of 2007.. They had two cats: Willow and Hemmingway..

Willow was my ex son in law's cat, and he couldn't take him with him when he went back to Florida, so I brought him to my house to live with me, hubby and my other 8 cats at the time..
Hemmingway ..~a polydactyl cat with a heart condition~.. was my daughter's baby, so he went to live with her..
She then met and married her new husband, who turned to be extremely allergic to cats, so poor Hemmie was confined to the basement..
When their son was born, I begged her to let me have Hemmie, because I couldn't stand to see him alone in that basement.. so he came home with me, and joined his brother again and became part of the family.. :)

So there you have it... I took my forum name from Willow the cat..
Now you will have to tell me what a "Peck" is.. :D

Willow is a Halfling, otherwise known as a "Peck" among Humans.
It's a must watch if you have not seen it.

what is your favorite movie?

I really can't say that I have one favorite movie.. I loved all the old movies, when actors were still "acting"..
I dislike anything that is war or has violence in it... You would not see me watching any of the new "funny" movies either.. Canned laughter, screaming instead of talking and stupid jokes turn me off completely.
I hate remakes of old movies with passion!..
Most new movies are just noise, bad acting, swearing and mumbling.. I won't waste my time unless is something worthwhile..

I used to like the old black and white movies, or the comic pratfalls of anyone during the fifties and sixties.. Old classic, western, screwball comedies, suspense, thrillers.. the funny Doris Day-Rock Hudson comedies, etc.. basically anything from before the early 70's..

From the newer batch, I would say I like any good drama or thriller that is well acted and can keep me interested to the end.. I really can't think of any names at this moment, I haven't watched a movie I really enjoyed for a long time...

Some of the ones I've watched in the last ten to fifteen years that I can remember anything were
Eye of the Needle..
Entrapment..
Cruel Intentions..
Internal Affairs..
Chicago..
Avatar..

I'm waiting for Hitchcock, Cary Grant, Olivier, Katherine Hepburn, Spencer Tracy, Peter Sellers, Joan Crawford, Gregory Peck, etc, to come back and "entertain me".. :D

From the old ones, I would say
Casablanca..
Vertigo...
An Affair to Remember..
Lawrence of Arabia..
It's a Mad, Mad, Mad World..
Dr. Zhivago..
Citizen Kane..
To Kill a Mockingbird..
The Apartment.. with Jack Lemmon-1960-
The French Connection..
The Godfather..

What was your first computer?

A little Gateway that my husband inherited from our son, with Windows Me, in 2001.. I don't even know the specs, but it couldn't have had more than the minimum that any computer from 1998 could had as far as memory and disk storage at that time..

By the end of 2004, I knew nothing about computers, and was so afraid of it, I didn't even know how to turn it on!.. :p

I had never learned to type either... and I am still doing it with two fingers.. :D

One day I decided that it was time for me to get onto the 21st century, so I sat in front of it... and had no idea what to do!.. I was shaking so bad, I thought that if I pressed the wrong button it would explode or something.. :willy_nilly:

I found the instruction booklet.. ~I'm thinking that probably those were the last computers that came with instructions :p~ so I started from the first page, and following instructions managed to turn it on and somehow figure how to get online... The rest is history.. :D

You are the second person that has told me this week to watch that movie, so I will try to find it as soon as possible.. :)
I'm thinking that one of my granddaughters might have it, so I'm going to ask them this weekend..

Thanks for the link! ♥
