Forget home schooling unless your schools suck. In which case I would try to move if at all possible.
I am not a fan of how the public schools are run for the most part. But if the parents are pro active in the school district the schools are fine. Ours is one of the best in the country let alone the state.
Home schooling might make a kid smart, (not politically in your case due to Jim) but the loss of social skills is very much something that can happen. One look at the national spelling bee will show how some of these kids are messed up.

why do you not have a crib yet? Unless I misunderstood
We don't have a crib yet because well lots of reasons... one being I didn't see one I liked, 2 we didn't have the cash to get it yet.... and 3 we have a bassinet that works till he's 22lbs or can roll over.
