Or are the periodic stories about women that are raped being stoned for allowing themselves to fall to the whims of a sick bastard that takes what he wants even if unwanted? I guess it is a right wing conspiracy about what we are told about some aspects of Sharia Law.

Either western media is telling lies or you have a twisted view of how to respectfully treat women. Me thinks you might be right that all women are treated equally. Except they are basically slaves to the whims of the male Muslim where Sharia Law rules the land. It would appear to those of us in the west.

Your media is doing wrong. I am a Muslim (not a practising one, though) but I do not know what Sharia you are referring to?? There are several sects among Muslims and all of them differ in their outlook about Sharia laws.
I do not follow them and what I say is directly from my own experience as a born Muslim and my experiences with them in Pakistan. I believe in the Scriptures including Quran and is very easy to comprehend what Sharia is.

I admit Muslim's a patriarchal society
but that doesn't mean we treat our women as 'slaves'. That is obnoxious.
A Muslim husband is wholly responsible to maintain his wife or wives....
and family. He must fulfill all his obligations towards women and stipulated in the Quran. Yes, only in case of wayward or loafing women a Muslim man may reprimand them.

What an imbecile question to put to a Muslim! Dude, there is NO compulsion in Islam. Therefore even if I don't 'practice' Islamic 'rituals' doesn't make me a pagan. By rituals I mean going to mosques, just like you Christians go to church, say your prayers, fast, and so on. But all those 'functions' are between me and Allah and HE is All forgiving. My other duties are towards human beings and those are more important. If i hurt someone in any way Allah is not going to pardon me....only the one hurt can. This duty is more important as my actions are directly related to other human beings.

Thus a Muslim has 2 duties
1) Towards Allah or God as others call Him
2) Towards fellow beings..

I hope you will now be able to realize the real concept of being a Muslim, practicing or not -practicing. Okay?

I never said you become a pagen...I asked the following below.

You were offended by the question but then go on in detail of what makes you not a practicing Muslim...by failure to participate is Muslim functions.
So you admit it...go into detail..but act offended.

If Allah is all forgiving as you say...then would it matter what we do...what would be the purpose of following Allahs commands?

Agreements were made by PK and the Taliban to allow sharia law as far back as 09.

They were already doing such...but an official agreement makes it impossible to discipline the Taliban..as PK made it legal.
As far as I am concerned allowing the Taliban to have separate laws is proof enough they have no intent to rid them.
A law could as easily be written that states any citizen taking the law into his own hands will be subject to punishment....and
Any member of the Taliban will executed upon failure to surrender to an approaching PK official.
