I failed my driving test again! :mad It sucks, because I know I'm a good driver, and I've had people tell me I'm good, but I just get nervous when I've got some complete stranger watching my every move. The first time(Last Friday), I failed by 41 points(Apparently, that's a lot). I didn't pull in close enough when I parked in the cones, I answered the question about parking up on a hill wrong, I didn't use my blinkers on the three-point-turn(I even tried to remember to use them, my sister forgot, but still passed), I didn't stop fast enough on the quick stop(I went over the 50 feet), I didn't look back when I was reversing(Everybody told me to NOT look back, use your mirrors, I'll fail if I look back. What bullshit, the instructor told me to use ANY means necessary to look around and stay safe), and when I pulled onto the main road, there was one car, ONE car that was very far behind me, so I figured it was safe to go. I pull out onto the road, and he said that if I'd been going about five or ten miles slower, the guy would have rear-ended me.
So, I just got back about an hour ago. I remembered everything I should do right, I was repeating it over and over in my head. I memorized the answer to the question, and I'd even been doing great on my quick stop(My truck has anti-lock brakes I just learned, so not only can I slam on the brakes and not lose points, since you can't slide or screech the tires, but I am now able to stop within 30 feet). I started out, parked perfectly in the cones, pulled up as close as I could, and I even answered the question correctly. I also used my blinkers on every turn when I was backing up from the parking space I'd been in when I got to the DMV, and used them when I was pulling into the test parking space. Then, she asked me to reverse out of the space, and that's where I failed! I slightly bumped the left front cone with my tire, because when I turned out, the wheel turned and hit the cone. It sucks, because I did it perfectly last week! :mad
Now, I have to go to the DMV after they close tonight, practice like crazy hell at parking(They leave the cones out so you can do that if you need to), and retake the test on Monday. This is so frustrating! I already have a truck too, so it sucks having your own vehicle and not being allowed to drive it.
