Follow-up concerning personal contact.

firm handshake is def. good. Whenever I shake hands I make sure its a good grip...only thing is me personally sometimes i have to purposly shy away from handshakes...horrid circulation in my hands leaves them cold clammy sometimes :( yuck!

I always give a firm handshake. As I would expect one back. I was raised a handshake tells that person what type of person you are from the start. When I shake someone's hand I am giving my word and trust to them.

I tried to shake a lady's hand today, and I usually go for firm and she offered me her fingertips. It was really awkward. She's of Asian descent, so I don't know if it's a culture thing?

Most of the Chinese, Japanese and Korean people I know, don't shake hands... they offer a kind of bow from the waist up, so I think it is a culture thing with those nationalities.. :)
I don't know what other Asian nationalities cultures do for a handshake substitution.. ;)
