Its the same name for foals/fillies.

Toddlers and babies don’t have different names for their body parts. :24:

It is the point of their forehead betweem their ears.

We still just have the one foal (though two of our mares are getting close to foaling) so this is a picture of that same filly from before. She was very shy when she was born but she's become much bolder now. When I'm in the stall she follows me around and if I stand/sit still she tries to eat me. :D Here's a pic. If you look close, you can see me in the corner of her eye. :D

We had another foal this morning/last night/yesterday morning...whatever the heck you want to call it. My days are all screwed up anyway. Ummm...Monday morning. We are not quite sure when she foaled because I get off at 6:00am and the day crew comes in at 7:00am. They found her with the foal on the ground at 7:30. If I had known she was going to foal I would have stayed later and foaled her out but the mare gave me no indication it was coming and I checked her last thing before I left. :willy_nilly:

Foals are like tornados. You don't actually know when they're going to come until they're there but there are ways to predict them. free-happy-smileys-839.png Usually the mare willl get restless and/or sweated up when they starting going into labour. Then you have those sneaky mares that will just lay down and foal with no warning or they'll wait until you leave. Not fair! :willy_nilly:

Anyhoo, she had a colt (boy) and he's cute as a button. Hang on while I upload some pics. :D

he's what? a day old??!!

he is cute! :) How strong are they? like if they kicked you, how much would it hurt?
He's about 18 hours old. :D At this point I am still stronger than him. If he didn't struggle too much I could probably carry him around. :D He's not coordinated enough to kick yet. He's doing well just to stand and walk around though he did attempt to be bouncy a few times. free-happy-smileys-839.png

He is 37 inches tall at the wither (where the neck joins the body) and 85lbs. :D

As for a pic of me holding him, I'll see if I can get one tomorrow. :ninja
