Thank God my shift is almost done...I can't wait to get out of this cold!! The high here today is -13, it was much colder than that when I got up this morning.

Not going directly home though, going to spend the night with a g/f....a little shopping, a little partying and a little "me" time (just booked a couple of hours a a spa).

That reminds me, I won a night at a very swanky Hotel in Victoria at our last golf tournament. It includes a spa treatment and all the goodies..

All I need is a partner to go there with... :ninja

So, plans were made to go to a Christmas Tree Shop on Friday and do a loop around to visit my parents. Good, done, sounds like a good day.

My FIL stops by last night and says he'll be picking me up on Friday to work on a float for a Christmas parade on Sunday, I said Friday evening, sure, but he might need me earlier. I wasn't asked, I was told...fuck that.

My husband just told me I shouldn't go visit MY parents because HIS father wants me help him. Ummmm....that's not the way it works in my world. My mom is ill and I WILL go visit her, fuck he pisses me off. Everything is supposed to be dropped when his family needs something.

"Fuck that" is right, Flo!!! There's nothing about a parade float that is more important than family. And it's not like you're refusing to help...just maybe a little later than he wants. If he needs your help, he needs to accommodate you...not the other way around.

I'm getting better, lol. The FIL came in a little while ago and said "I'll pick you up at 1:15 tomorrow so you can make snowflakes for the float". It was news to me and I had plans to take the dog to the groomer so I said I couldn't make it. My husband wasn't pleased...but too bad, I only have this weekend before I head back to work for 2 weeks, I gotta get shit done.

Is that a clay outdoor fire place thingy? I LOVE those. We have a small fire pit in the yard, had a couple of gatherings there this summer but it's too damn chilly this time of year to get any benefit from it.

Ours is an iron frame w/ iron mesh doors (maybe not "iron" per se, but some type of metal). This one actually looks similar to mine, but mine is much nicer if I do say so myself.
