Ugh...why does it have to be complicated like that??? I mean, why can't it all just be on the one program??? Pssssh...that sucks.

Downloaded my first song w/ no problem...second song I tried to download set off my Avast w/ a trojan horse warning. Hmmmm.

I've decided to go with Utorrent instead of Vuse now and see if I like it more.

And Tasha. There are still risks like any other download out there, but the risks are a lot fewer going through a privae tracker than through a public one. I'm not sure where you are getting your downloads from but a lot of the sites that allow free access are going to be problem causers.

I use Torrent-damage.net which requires you to have an account and it's by invite unless if you are lucky and get in during open registration. There are others out there, but I can't think of a lot of the private ones. I think Demonoid is and I'm sure others here can get ya info on better sites to use than just public ones.

I ended up going back to Limewire. I know people hate it and are going to cringe...but it's what I like. I am SO not about all those torrents and things...that shit was horrible. I don't download enough to need anything other than Limewire.

LOL. To each their own. Torrents take some getting used to, but after you've got a couple/few downloads done you won't want to go back to stuff like Limewire.

LOL...yeah, like I'm one of those idiots w/o good virus protection. Avast is pretty stealthy...it caught the virus that was trying to get in through the torrents you guys recommended.

just like anything downloading torrents takes practice.
if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is

a full season of House is somewhere around 15GB so if it says 45mb than you probably shouldnt download that particular torrent.

I just don't see the logic in running separate programs when I can get it all on 1 program...as long as I have good virus protection. *shrugs*

You don't have to use separate programs. You have a program that is used to download and seed the program and you just find the file you want online. When you click to download it then it opens in the one program you use to download in.

It took me a couple tries when I started using them years ago, but now it's hard to do it any other way.
