uTorrent. I don't use torrent sites for software though.

I use a site called tvtorrents - helps me to catchup on stuff that has long gone extinct that I wanted to watch or stuff that I'd never get here. Invite only site.

If you can afford it sign up with Giganews and get a decent usenet client.
The benefit of using usenet (NNTP) is no sharing (YAY!)
SSL and VyperVPN (If you get their best package)
It's what I use and can grab 14 gig files in around 20 minutes.

Oh no, I don't want to sign up for anything that costs money. If I'm gonna pay out of pocket it's going to be to get the full CD at the store.

I use xtorrent on my mac, it's cheap and brill

and tasha when you download the torrent you got to make sure it has a seeder.

you wont beable to download the file if it doesnt have a seeder


but if i just want a single song, i will download the flv file from youtube from download helper on firefox and then convert it to a mp3. that way it takes out the video and leaves the music

A seeder is somebody else out there in the ether that is sharing the song or file that you want.
Generally the more seeders, the faster your download will be because torrents can download from many places at once.

If the torrent you are trying to download has no seeders, you wont be able to download the file

Okay, so I just downloaded utorrent and I'm completely lost. Why can't I search for files in the program like I do on Limewire??? It opens a web browser and gives me a bunch of links to click and...well...I hate it.

Utorrent is just the downloader. .Go to piratebay.org and find what you want, then click the download link and it will open in utorrent.

You'll get it, Utorrent is just the tracker..You need to go to the actual torrent sites to find the stuff you want to dl.
