Clare hun I know its hard to not personalize this, but im sure they are talking about the really obese women not the size you were hun.
I felt the same way when I was underweight, and it seemed almost impossible for me to gain weight. Do you know how horrible I looked and how bad I felt about myself that I couldn't gain weight. Pants were falling off my ass, belts were too big and skirts and tanks looked horrible on me b/c of my arms and chicken legs. I felt I went into the fashion faux pas.
Not everyone has a perfect body and can wear cute clothes from wherever they want...not everything fits right...not everyone can afford to shop at the Gap...people aren't how they look or how they dress. With amount of stress people try to put on the fact that they DON'T buy into media-fed stereotypes, they sure do fall easily into the habbit of categorizing people by how they look. I'm not saying this to put any of you guys down for saying what you have said, we are all guilty of it sometimes, but it just hits a little close to home for me because I have at some point in my life fit into almost all of these faux pas...and not by choice!!!
