My suggestion is to make a reception worth a point, change the 40+ yard reception/completion/rushing bonus to a 40+ yard reception/completion/rushing TD bonus. Don't give points out for rushing attempts or completions, or make them worth .1 points or something like that. Everything else looks pretty good to me.

I sort of assumed this would be a case of picking the man with the biggest smile and sitting back while he ploughed through the competition :ninja

The secret is...don't have a totally bomb looking team that has the best TE in the league get injured in week three and one of the best WR in the league playing with like the worst quarterback in the history of forever and you'll be golden.

Also, pretend you have no idea what's going on, even when you do have it figured out. That way they never see it coming when you kick their ass!

Give those of us that have followed this for years the chance to explain the basics and then let the newbs ask any questions they want to. Would probably save 100 posts and a shit-ton of writing.

Simple version:

On every play the Quarterback (QB) can either throw the ball to a Wide Receiver (WR) or a Tight End (TE) OR hand the ball to a Running Back (RB).

Every time the QB throws the ball, that is a "Pass Attempt". If the WR or TE catches the ball, that is a "Completion". Every time the RB runs with the ball that is a "Rush".

Two main ways to score- a "Touchdown" (getting the ball all the way down the field into the other team's end zone) or a "Field Goal" (kicking the ball through two posts 18 feet apart from wherever you are on the field)

Whenever one of your players does something good, you get points. Get more than your opponent and you win.

No, it will automatically update the information while the games are being played.

Correct, it's just good to know how your players will earn points for you so if you ever watch them play you can yell at them the whole time for not doing what you want.

In the league I have played in the last couple years we have not used the per touch or per attempt stats.... I am not opposed to them... just have never seen them used. Sometimes simpler is better.
