Television. People have more access to news and weather (and entertainment).
The internet. It allowed access to all sorts of news around the world, connected people globally, and revolutionized the way that we live our daily lives.
By we I you mean me and seeing as its my thread I consider it a mockery to reply with adult films or snack foods as to what helped humanity. But if that's as serious as any answer then it helps with my research. Thanks

okay then I would pick Xray because you can see inside and ascertain what is the matter with many common problems that people have had. You can see abnormalities, broken bones etc.
I think it's the telephone. Think about what life would be like without it. What started out to be so simple turned out to be the source of the worlds most advanced technologies...internet etc. When you think about it, it's pretty amazing, even in it's most primitive form.
I would say technology, however, that has actually destroyed us. Therefore, I shall say alternative energy sources such as wind and solar.
Anaesthetic
For reasons which are fairly obvious, imagine getting teeth pulled on just a few shots of Jacks! Or any type of surgery for that matter. It has allowed doctors to poke and prod, discover problems, remove bits and pieces. Everytime I need anaesthetic I give a little thanks to its existence

If you make it the last 600 years then it's a no brainer. The printing press launched the reformation and the industrial revolution. Information is power. The printing press enabled information to be communicated on a scale previously unknown. The internet is the next generation of the same concept. The impact of the internet has been great but not as great as the printing press.
If I must limit myself to the last 300 years then I'll go with the internal combustion engine. Various forms of this engine power cars, tractors, ships, trains, jets, rockets, chain saws, bulldozers and much more.

Anything you could possibly want is right at your fingertips with the internet, thousands, or even millions of different news sources, any information you might need to know is but a google or wikipedia search away, any type of pornography you can possibly dream of can be found, any movie or TV show you might want to watch can be downloaded for free, you can talk to people of all races, religions, beliefs, and nationalities that normally you'd never have a chance to interact with, almost ANYTHING is possible with the internet, IMO it is truly the most wondrous and amazing invention in the history of mankind, you can do almost anything with it.

I am really liking the fridge, birth control, and anesthesia responses, I quite agree!
Being able to safely store and consume food, as well as give ourselves a higher likelihood of safely surviving medical procedures makes birth control all the more necessary. The population has already exploded from advances in sanitation services, clean water systems, technology and medicine, we might all be extinct already if it weren't for birth control lol!
