The test is bogus.
The idiots who are determined to connect GM corn with cancer selected a species of rat known to be susceptible to cancer under normal conditions and then tried to pass those cancers off s evidence.
I'm pretty much against vivisection in general, but when you use it for the sole purpose of making fraudulent claims, you should be jaiiled.
Again, I'll make the point the The Man has ducked so carefully.
GM crops have been in use for almost 20 years, and yet there's NOT ONE SINGLE SHRED OF EVIDENCE that it causes cancer in humans.
When I see the term "Frankencorn" used in an article,it's pretty obvious that the author is completely biased, regardless of facts.
The test would only be bogus if the test never happened or the results were false.
Neither is the case
The idiots who are determined to connect GM corn with cancer selected a species of rat known to be susceptible to cancer under normal conditions and then tried to pass those cancers off s evidence.
And evidence it is..regardless which species of rat is chosen.
The test had different groups with different levels of exposure {ingestion} all below what is considered the safe level by the USA..Cancer was caused way below the threshold in the species.
It was the first long term study done...Prior tests were 90 day tests.
Now lets reflect for a moment shall we..does 90 days of smoking tobacco cause cancer..how about asbestos or the red dye that was banned or saccharin ...no one was developing cancer in 90 days.
Since you like to use the word bogus so loosely...The 90 tests for round up are bogus by your definition..as it is hardly a fair test as it intentionally excludes long term exposure to the chemical...and it excludes the rats that are highly susceptible to cancer ....I mean if you want to misuse the word bogus then lets use it to describe those tests as well.
I'm pretty much against vivisection in general, but when you use it for the sole purpose of making fraudulent claims, you should be jaiiled.
Doesnt apply here as the claims weren't false
Again, I'll make the point the The Man has ducked so carefully.
GM crops have been in use for almost 20 years, and yet there's NOT ONE SINGLE SHRED OF EVIDENCE that it causes cancer in humans.
I have not stated otherwise ...is no ducking here.
When I see the term "Frankencorn" used in an article,it's pretty obvious that the author is completely biased, regardless of facts.
It is genetically modified cord that will endure the chemical...Frankencorn is applicable whether one approves of its use or not....nothing bias there
But then again you stated why would someone want to spray corn...which shows you have no prior knowledge on the subject...So I can see how you would think "frankencorn" is biased

In 2009, the European Food Safety Agency (EFSA) panel on GM organisms determined that NK603 was "as safe as conventional maize".
"Maize NK603 and derived products are unlikely to have any adverse effect on human and animal health in the context of the intended uses," it said, delivering a judgement based in part on a 90-day feeding study on rats.
NK603 can be imported but cannot be grown in Europe.
Only Monsanto's MON810 transgenic corn and a gene-modified potato, Amflora, made by BASF,
have authorisation for being grown in Europe.
However, Austria, Bulgaria, France, Greece, Hungary, Luxembourg and Romania have outlawed the growing of MON810 on their territory, citing the principle of precaution.

As we can see other nations have taken action and France only allows some varieties to be imported..they have banned the growing of the variety in question..it can only be imported and not grown in Europe...thus they have already deemed the chemical unacceptable to be used in Europe.....If its so safe then why isnt allowed?
Now we can start to properly use the word bogus again
