ABC News: NJ Enacts Anti-Global Warming Law

Allow me to finish the article

New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine, left, shakes hands with former Vice President Al Gore at a ceremony to sign the Global Warming Response Act at Giants Stadium Friday, July 6, 2007, in East Rutherford, N.J. Giants Stadium will be one of the venues for Saturday's Live Earth concerts.

... then they got into their overweight heavily armored SUVs and tore off down the highway at 110 mph.

lol

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the name for the stadium "The Meadowlands" and is home to both the Jets and Giants?

(Odd how it's in NJ...)

I agree dt3. There is nothiing that can be done about it. There isn't enough money to fix the problem. And besides what is money going to do to fix it. Hmmmmm?

the problem is all the people crying about global warming...the earth is going to warm up and cool down just like it have for the past million and millions of years before our time...its just another way for them to raise taxes and make it harder for you to do things you want to do

Um, no its quite real. Its a natural process of the Earth. We aren't the cause of it, but we certainly speed it up with pollution.

Allow me to rephrase. The current media/politician fearmongering about global warming is a joke.

No way hun, that's what they call me, and I have very less in common with that guy :D
BTW, I think the gorvernor of Cali is doing a great job when it comes to clean energies. I never thought I'd say something good about him, but there it goes. Well done.

this thread is classic, lol. so what if we decide to set up laws for the environment, even if it doesnt solve "global warming" or the natural cycle or whatever? what would we get out of it, cleaner air, slightly healthier people, better crops? lol. i mean, its not like its a law thats going to cause more harm then good is it? i wish we spent more time and money on (pointless?) laws like this then a lot of the crap that gets focused on.
Not enough money to fix the problem? lol, if that was the issue, then where is all this wealth we have here in america then? warcrafts, expensive cars, gifts the size of a penny in a box the size of a big screen tv (aka, useless product)? i bet i know where the money is, probably in some fat cats pocket, thats where. do you really think GM or any of those fatties want to spend money on revamping their whole line? or make something that will use less gas, thus shorting the gas companies pocket? i doubt it, since the car company and the gas company probably lunch together every day at the 4 seasons. whether global warming is real or not, whatever we think, its just a big joke to these people, they dont care if it Is real or not, either way, they care more about their pocket then what they "might" be doing to the environment. they could really give two shits about things that will stop them from another vacation while you slave for mortgage.
Either way, i dont think its a bad thing to care about, and if people are going to get huffy puffy over stuff, it might as well be over topics like this, rather then the price of cigarettes. Whether its real or not, hardly anybody around here cares about the environment, there are some, but its certainly not the majority, or i wouldnt have felt compelled to throw bags of trash out my car window when i was an adolecent. because, i mean really, at that point in my life, i wasnt thinking that what i was doing could be contributing to the demise of the earth, because im only 1 person, and look at all these other 1 people not caring in big cars and dump trucks full of useless material being brought to land fills or burned into the air.
