Earthquake in California this week?

Thanks for the link!.. Bookmarked.. :thumbup

One thing though... hubby has been visiting his family for the last two weeks where the map has an orange circle, indicating something happening there yesterday.. He hasn't mentioned that anything has happened anywhere near there.. :dunno

Most earthquakes are barely noticeable... it's once you get into the 5-6 magnitude range where you'll start to feel more than a gentle swaying.

His update...

MARCH 19-26, 2011 PREDICTIONS
The extremely clear March window has a 90% chance of producing the following quakes: with at least one meeting each of the following criteria:

(1) 3.5 - 7.0M within 140 miles of Mt. Diablo
(2) 3.5 - 7.0M within 140 miles of Los Angeles.
(3) 3.5 - 7.0M with an epicenter located in Washington or Oregon.
(4) 7.0 + M major quake globally, probably in the Pacific Ring of Fire.

I submit that claiming a 3.5-7.0 magnitude quake in the San Francisco and Los Angeles areas is his way of covering his ass. 3.5+ quakes happen 1-2 times a month in those areas.

Well, of course he has to do that otherwise he loses his credibility :p Thanks for the update :thumbup

By any chance did you see this post #30 ? What's your or anyone's take on it?

My concern is this: Nuclear power plants

You must already know there's a nuclear plant by Central Coast ( San Luis Obispo ) and am an hour away from San Onofre in San Diego. :(

As a State employee hence a Public servant, we're alerted to get ready for disaster to strike ( we're mandated to help ) given we can be the 2nd Japan. Maybe much worst given we have 2 Nuclear power plants :p

There was a Homeland Security study on it, and the plants are safe as far as I've seen.

I was reading on some articles and there were some contradicting the Homeland Security studies. They claimed that since the plants are near the coastline etc- there's much more danger than what's being presented. Well, i hope Homeland security did their part to keep the plants safe. :D

Thanks :)
