Yo I was just thinking that exact same thing, Tracey. I was thinking about how all of these "Southerners" are actually from the great frozen north. *shivers*

it doesnt get "cold" in florida.....people that think it does arent from here,,,,,,,,,,,,,bunch of freakin' tourists and transplants

where were they from originally?
im from here and i wear t-shirt untill its 50 and windy

yeah 50* feels colder here than it does in some places in the north because of the humidity

it rarely gets below 30* here but i wouldn't say it ever gets that cold because the rest of the year is is around 100*

I think though, in keeping with the original context of the thread, that all places get judged or stereotyped somewhat. What do you think when you think of Australia? Steve Irwin or Crocodile Dundee, right? A dingo ate my baby? Kangaroos and koalas as pets? Snags on the barbie and beer in the Esky?

Yes not all Mainers sound like Tim Sample.
Not all Mainers are rednecks and live in the woods and hunt for food.

once somone from the north gets acclamated to warmer temperatures the cold kills them

and yes janie...30 or 40 and humid can give you bone chills , and cold bones are harder to warm

AND

ALL people from Victoria are "Mexicans" who still proudly wear mullet hair dos and are at least 10 years behind

ALL people from Queensland are "banana benders" and cant drive to save themselves (and are also 10 years behind)

So, I guess its "Universal"

True and true!!!! WHY oh why did you never make it to Sydney when I was still conveniently located there??? We'd have had a blast. We could've been kicked out of Scruffy Murphy's together.

I think I was down once before you moved, but that was a flying visit.

I can only take SYdney in short bursts these days. Too crowded.

I could have taken you to the "Vinyl Room"

(or the Vaginal Room as its known to the blokes):24:

Now the Vinyl Room sounds interesting...where's that????

And yes, Syd is much too crowded these days. Too many bloody tourists!
