No I wouldn't expect my boyfriend to propose. But Paris is driving distance away so I suppose not such a big deal compared to if you were coming from America.

Having said that, a friend and her boyfriend recently went to Paris for a romantic weekend and I was expecting him to pop the question. They are not long term but they are very serious.

Nah I wouldn't have expected it. Zorak is not in the least romantic and I have no doubt, if he ever took me to Paris, it would be to visit war museums and the catacombs. I remember years ago, I said I wanted to go to Venice because it's sooo romantic. Zorak's reply? Venice smells and is invested with rats but he'd take me if he could shoot rats all day.

Besides it took Zorak 4½ years just to buy me a necklace and he has NEVER bought me flowers. All hope of a ring has long since been diminished to the point, my friends don't even ask when we're going to get engaged any more.

My boyfriend hates trying to buy jewelry, I was really surprised that he bought me a necklace for christmas because whenever I say that's what I'd like, he gets all 'but I'm no good at buying that stuff....'

That is exactly what Zorak says! He got me two necklaces actually, just to be sure I'd like one :24:


Though maybe I should I point out that although Zorak doesn't really get me any "romantic" gifts, he does buy me CDs, DVDs and books. Lots of books.
