If I had a daughter and I knew a man was hitting her, I'd take care of him myself.
One thing to hit a woman for self defense, but it's wrong to hit anyone out of anger. For a man to hit a woman he's dating is beyond disgusting. Take 'em out to the woodshed and be done with them.

thing is,my sister has thick curly hair so he used to knuckle the top of her head...it couldn't be seen,it was years before anyone knew....i was actually visited by the police who in effect gave me a talking to,they hate it too.they have wives,sisters and daughters
whats a meme? That is totally fucked up and to think that facebook would actually let people post that shit is almost like they are condoning it if you ask me. If youve ever been a victim or know someone who has, there is no way in hell you could find anything funny about those what-so-ever, honestly it makes me sick to my stomach!

When your in a closely knit circle of males, i.e. sports team, firefighting squad, close group of guys friends etc.. thats when the Domestic Violence and abortion jokes come into play. But jokes are just that, jokes. OI dont know anyone who actually does thaqt

You are correct. There are men who get beat by their wives. I think its funny, as long as its not real. My train of thought is, attacking someone who you know cant/wont defend themselvs or doesnt want to fight you, makes you a complete pussy.
There are jokes about everything. Absolutely everything. From dead babies to rape to 9/11 to domestic violence. Every bad thing that happens, someone will find a way to laugh about it.
Personally, I think if it's funny then hey, it's funny. Laughing at something diminishes fear of that thing. Making a joke about something is as much about dealing with a stressful event sometimes as crying about it is.
Those examples you posted aren't crazy funny, but who cares? If anyone honestly thought reading a caption on the Internet gives them the right to physically abuse others then they need a special kind of help. I don't think any regular man would take those as anything more than a little bad taste humour.

I personally am against the hitting of women.
That...is...disgusting. The one of the girl with the broken nose made me physically cringe. Nothing about the subject of any kind of abuse is funny. Anyone who beats someone they claim to love should be dragged out into the street and shot damn it.

The images captured in this thread demonstrate that quite a few idiots do.
If these are intended as jokes, they're not to my taste.
Some people never grow out of the adolescent habit of bad taste humour. There's a good chance that people who circulate them would also circulate Holocaust jokes, Nigger jokes or dead baby jokes. It's very easy to make crude humour at the expense of others.Especially if you have no real understanding of the subject matter.

Offtopics is a very unique group of people to me. Simply because I dont meet people in reality anything like You guys. I have lived in 5 different states, 2 before joining, and 3 after. In all 5 places I have made close guy friends. Many of us made Abortion, Rape, and Domestic violence jokes. Theese jokes went both ways though. I.E. for rape jokes we made fun of each other. "John, If we were in prison i would rape you then sell you to a Big racist white guy for cigarettes" etc.. ofcourse we made many domestic violence jokes also. Now theese were NEVER in the presence of women. All I am saying is going through 5 states, and being in the Army theese jokes are very common. No one i know is involved in any of theese activities though. (Aside from abortions, a couple of my friends have had to get them). Today I went to lunch with a group of female soldiers and showed them theese pictures. they though it was funny. One even said "She probly got beat because she forgot to wash the dishes" and they all laughed. Women, female soldiers were laughing at theese Domestic Violence Meme's. Just because you laugh at something doesnt at all make you a bad person. Do you watch Dave Chapelle comedy? He makes racial jokes very often, I know many people who watch and enjoy his comedy but arent racist. As you all know, I am against abortion but I will laugh at a good abortion joke. Doesnt make me a pro-abortionist.
Wow, you cringed at that? I have seen high school fights end much worse then that. I looked worse then that after a bar fight once. if a bloody nose makes you cringe like that, the medical field is not for you. Many people today and many more in the past beat their children. In many cultures its alright. Many of them turn out fine. Its about moderation. You dont break their bones and bloody up their noses. Thats overdoing it. In the case of an adult women, she knows right from wrong. You dont need to beat her, just dump her.

The people who circulate theese do make dead baby jokes, as for racial jokes I cant say they do.
