when you were a child and you used to look forward to christmas? I mean it was the best holiday b/c you received all of these presents.

And now as an adult you dread christmas? At least I know I do. There is just way to much buying that I have to do. I enjoy buying for other people, but it's the fact of getting that money together. And every year I always seem to be saving later and later for presents.

This is my favorite time of year... I look forward to seeing how happy my boys will be when they see all of their gifts. If I had to, I would put it all on credit cards and deal with it later...its worth it to see them that happy. I go out every year on black Friday and get all the good deals. Im the nut who wakes up at 3 AM and shops all day. ;) I cant wait!!

I never buy anybody anything, but I never technically ask for anything. Everyone always goes "what do you want?" so I tell them. Don't care if I get anything or not. I just dread this time of year because of the snow. I LOVED snow growing up, mainly because I didn't have to drive in it. lol

But now I do, so it wouldn't bother me if I lived somewhere that got minimal/no snow at all.

This year i bought halloween presents for everyone, and apologized in advance and informed them that I won't be giving out any gifts this year, we are saving up and moving right after christmas and are basically saving every penny we can, we have a lot of repairs we need to pay for in our apartment plus the cost of moving, etc and just can't afford to drop $1000 on gifts for everyone

Not being of the religious persuasion, Christmas just dosen't really mean too much to me, it's just another holiday. St Georges day and Guy Fawkes night hold more real significance to me, despite neither being a national holiday.

Well, I use to LOVE christmas, but this year I wont as much.. Depending on what happens with the house, my money is gonna be tied up in that.. meaning my kids MAY not get a good christmas from me.. which means, Daddy is gonna outdo mommy and that hurts.
Yeah, but daddy's also a worthless piece of shit. Mommy's a wonderful woman who loves her kids. I'm sure they can see the difference. ;)

I still get excited about Christmas just as I did when I was a kid.
I LOVE buying presents for my kids and other family. I just hate dealing with all the traffic to get from point A to point B. Thats the only thing that makes me a scrooge.
