Jesus has never been the Christ. If he was real at all then he was seen as having developed the Christ mind that Paul and Gnostic Christians speak of.

Matthew 6:22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.

John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

Luke 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

I believe in the process that particular version of Jesus preaches.

I also point out to people that the largest sculpture that the Vatican owns is that of the pineal gland that is thought to activate our third or single eye.

No, torturing a baby is never justified. Every living being, especially a vulnerable infant, deserves compassion and care. Ethical and moral principles universally emphasize kindness, empathy, and protection of the innocent, making such an act completely unacceptable in any circumstance.

Torture is never justified, not just against babies but even to the terrorists, prisoners of wars and criminals. Any act of physical violence is never justified. However, sometimes the line between punishments and violence blurs.
