wow...glad I'm not the only one that still has a landline. I grew up with it, so I've just kinda kept it...I had a pay as you go plan through Boost Mobile...hated it because the signal sucked..then got a cell through T Mobile...hated it for the same reason...I guess I just liked the security that I never had to worry about roaming charges or signal availability with a landline...I plan on getting a Verizon phone soon...which practically has its signal available almost everywhere more than any other carrier...at least in NY.. so I'm torn between a Iphone or one of those HTC ones...not sure yet...and with phones these days being all inclusive with text, talk and web...we'll see...but I think I might keep the landline anyway...only 45 bucks a month...one of those deals my mom found over 16 years ago when we all move3d up to albany from NYC that I decided to keep after all these years...and it has never done me wrong...so I'm of the opinion that if it's not broke, why fix it, you know?

Got one I forward my Cell to when i am home.. No cost to forward my cell so why not and save while getting 9/11 locating services.

Also i have unlimited calling US / Canada with my plan so well worth the use..

Yeah, it comes with my Sky package with the internet and TV, is cheap and just about all phone calls off it apart from to mobiles are free, including abroad. Essential when my inlaws live in Australia. I hardly use my mobile.

Still have a land line.

One thing to keep in mind if you don't have a land line is what happens if you need to make an emergency call for help and you need help to show up at your home.

I know, you're cell phone probably has GPS, but the way 911 calls are routed and communicated to emergency personal (firefighters, ambulances, police...) is a different story.

No landline, but I do want one.

And I'm peeved Matt trashed the VCR :(

And I wish my car had a tape deck.

I'm stuck several years in the past.

Still have a land line... it's for the security alarm. It sits off by itself and the only time it rings is if the alarm gets tripped.
