If you are honestly offended that I have "insulted" you and other denizens of Facebook, that is truly sad. Are you truly stating that today, in addition to religion, politics and sexual preference, somebody can legitimately take offense if somebody questions their choice of social networking sites?

I don't use FB. I used to and it felt waaay too Romper Room for me. If you enjoy it, good for you and go with God. I'm glad you found a place where you can socially fit in.

Your joke insulted people that are over 40 and use Facebook to keep up with friends. I know plenty of people like that, it's not that they're not adults and not productive members of society, they've just joined with the times and realize that social networking isn't just for kids.

If you choose not to use Facebook, that's your prerogative, and I honestly couldn't care less. But what you said and/or how you said it came across as demeaning and insulting towards certain people. :shrug:

I do the same thing with the groups. There's a family member who kept hassling me about adding them, even though it was the last thing I wanted to do. I can't even fathom the drama that would have been caused if I refused, so I just completely restricted them so they can't see/do anything with my page. I got questions about that too, which I just replied "oh your facebook must be broken".

My facebook I find useful. Now I have blocked a few from my newsfeeds because I don't care they had a bowel movement. I have a few friends who play games only. Every time I see they are playing "Cornhole Bingo" then I "x " their post & block all future "Cornhole Bingo" posts.

and i can't stand the invites to those games, or groups. i normally block all games and ignore all group requests. lately i have been hiding all posts of youtube as well as sometimes there will be a string of them and i don't care to watch them all. LOL Also the religious posts too. I have one friend whose every post is Jesus this or that and i just hid those ones too. Its so easy to ignore or hide what you don't like on there that i find no need for more than one FB.

I wasn't attacking you, merely pointing out why people could have taken what you said as an insult. It has nothing to do with Facebook itself, but the insinuation that people that use it aren't productive members of society.
