Do you eat at the table?

Wondered what the table was supposed to be for.

Hot food on the couch, snack lunches in the office.

I eat all my meals at the table. Wife likes to eat in the living room and make a mess on the laptop and the chair she sits in. I keep my medicine on the table and take it with meals. I will drink my morning coffee at the computer desk while reading papers online.

I have a breakfast bar but I don't sit at it cos I don't have much other surface space for preparing meals. Plus I only have 2nd hand stools for it and they aren't that comfortable and are just the wrong height. So, I eat on the couch.

As a kid, my family ate every dinner together, at the table. We weren't allowed to eat in the living room, unless it was something that wouldn't stain (i.e. popcorn on movie nights).

BF and I eat on the couch now, unless it's a special dinner (i.e. Valentine's Day dinner in) or we have company.

If we had a table, then we'd sit around it and eat. As it is, we are tableless and there isn't really anywhere to put a table anyway.

But we always eat together whenever possible.

Growing up we usually ate at the table. Now I eat on my couch most of the time. It's a rare occasion we sit at my table.

When I was single living on my own, I didn't own a table LOL

When it was just my wife and I, we usually ate downstairs.

Now with the family, ALWAYS eat in the kitchen as a family.

We have a table here on the boat but it takes up almost ALL the room when it's up. If I make Sunday dinner, or something like fajitas with lots of bowls to pick from then the table will be up. Sometimes we'll just randomly feel like putting the table up, too. Either way we sit at the exact same place if the table was up or down so it's more the convenience and mood. We actually prefer sitting at the table out on deck but Vancouver weather often has other ideas about that..

Always at the table. I am home with the kids often. So we eat there for every meal. They will have to do that until there old enough to live else where. We have the radio playing in the background as well.

Growing up my mom ad i always ate at the dinner table... my sister, not so much as she was always going some sort of school work, and well my brother was not around much when i was younger so it was usually me and my mom, and we always ate at the table, same went for eating at a relative's house.

Staci, the girls and I make it a point to have regular meals at the table together...if my mom is over and cooking for us, she will only serve at the dinner table, so we must eat there LOL! If it is just me and staci we eat on the couch, or i usually go into my office as she is usually watching something i dont like LOL
