I am not out to prove anything. The one making a claim has the burden of proof. It is cyclical but you believe strong enough not to believe in God, based on something. Is it just lack of proof? So be it but nothing is proven or disproven based on no proof. Until the proof appears, the existence of God, an entity who lives in a supposed divine and undetectable space remains undetermined imo. It's your right to say there is no divine space because we can't locate one, but what does that prove? Nada.
BTW name calling is name calling, does not matter if it is moron or ignoramus.
Ignoramus is not name calling. It is a legitimate adjective meaning a person lacking knowledge. I am an ignoramus about American politics, business law and many other things in this world. I accept the limits of my knowledge but I am far from a moron and that has no legitimate meaning as far as this discussion goes. To quote:
Moron
1. a person who is notably stupid or lacking in good judgment.
2. Psychology. a person of borderline intelligence in a former classification of mental retardation, having an intelligence quotient of 50 to 69.
I am neither stupid nor lacking in good judgement. My IQ has been measured at 140 so I take being called a moron a great insult and I still demand a retraction. I stop short of demanding an apology, as the person in question has apparently shown a lack of good judgement. But to misunderstand the meaning of a word or phrase does not justify a person to resort to insults.
