look when I was a teenager if I was to disrespect a cop I didn't have to worry about the cop kicking my ass it would have been my mom. Show some respect yes sometimes they are not fair but it's there job when you get into some shit who do you call a cop right. I was not there so I don't know what really happened I don't always trust the new's and the cop's going to stick with his statement and not change it.

She didn't resist. She was standing to the side and he grabbed her.

Which one were you talking about? The one in cuffs? She was standing in one spot while the officer was chasing down that punk ass kid.

When he looked back over she'd moved and was wandering away with some of her friends. In his eyes he's not going to know that she wasn't leaving, just moving out of the way of pedestrians.

Andddd he basically tackled her for that. Overuse of power.

Again, he had no idea if she was trying to flee. Overuse of power to subdue someone who's breaking the law my ass. If they'd all just have shut up and left none of this would have happened.

They're 100% in the wrong. The law is the law, if you're not going to respect the law or the persons who took the oath to uphold it, you're going to get subdued and taken to jail. Period.

Yes, I agree they broke the law. I just disagree that he had to resort to such violence when one was clearly handcuffed on the ground and the others were just trying to not make the cop choke their freind anymore. Just because you have a badge doesn't mean you shouldn't be stopped.

For the most part, I hate cops. 90% of them are power tripping ego maniacs who don't deserve the respect they get. But they have to enforce laws and such, and they have to use viable techniques to do that, which is really all I saw in this video..

So yeah, kinda off topic, but today I was driving and there was a sheriff next to me in his cruiser. we're driving along and he all of a sudden decides to merge in front of me without looking, cause, let's face it, cops don't need to follow traffic laws... Anyways, he comes within maybe 6 inches of hitting me as i swerve out of the way and honk at him. then he speeds up and drives off, no lights, no siren, nothing... Probably late to his appointment at the fucking donut store. Good thing I got his car number so I can call and report him tomorrow.

yeah, I really don't like police

Meh....I know a lot of cops through my father, he does business with them. I know some really nice cops, but when it comes down to it, I think a lot of cops are guys who really just want to wear the badge and carry a gun. I've met so many cops like this.

Honestly I didn't find him holding onto her like that very violent. He could have easily peppersprayed them or threatened to use the billie club or night stick. He could have had them at gun point if he felt his life or his safety was in danger.

Meh, we could debate this all night. I just think he should have radioed for backup sooner so they could just clear the scene up faster.

I think it was too much. He went to far, those kids were harming nobody, I don't think he needed to use so much strength

It may or may not have helped. Punk ass kids who don't understand that they were breaking the law will smart off to cops thinking they're funny whether there's one or 4 officers.

Well, they were breaking the law and judging by how immature they acted when confronted and told to leave, they could have hurt someone. They should have disbanded and left. They kept egging the officer on.

IMO they got what they deserved - they'll learn their lessons early, and they'll take that experience and hopefully, if a next time arises, they'll handle it much better than they did here.

**Dangnabit, I can't rep you 'cause I just repped you earlier today!**

You are right in everything you just said. I said those things, too: teenage punk kids will laugh and smart off because they can't believe they actually got caught breaking the law. It's a wake-up call for them. Hopefully they'll learn.
And hopefully their idiot parents won't laugh it off as just childish indiscretions and then turn around and sue the police department for their own children's stupidity! Parents have got to teach their children the difference between right and wrong and how to accept the consequences that breaking the law comes with.

You guys are really getting out of hand with the "teenage punk ass kids" bullshit. For real, not all teenagers are "punk ass kids". OUt of the maybe 4 times I've been in trouble with the law, I've treated the officer with respect and politeness, I don't run off at the mouth, nor do I try to run. Not all kids are punks, some are. And not all skateboarders are punks either.

If you go around breaking the law around populated places, do what you're not supposed to do, backmouth police officers, and are generally rude, anti-social, or just an all around brat; then you're a punkass child.

Now if you're just your normal everyday teenager, you aren't.

Don't make assumptions as to people saying everyone is a punkass kid.

Sorry, from what I saw, the cop was in the right. For one, the kids wouldnt listen, they ran from him and backtalked the entire time.
