I have seen those blocks that they use to build pyramids, and they are huge! I don't think it is possible for a man to move those blocks by hauling and putting wood under the stones to move it.

Maybe they had dinosaurs :24::24:

But seriously, i think they may have done it by levitating.

A friend of mine showed me a blog with this man who build a castle, or something of that sort, and he used stones like the stones that build pyramids, maybe not that large. He built it single handed. A truck driver said after he delivered the stones, the man told him to go for lunch and when he came back all the stones was removed :eek:eek. He had no machines to lift the stones. Some kids say they saw him levitating the stones :eek... and when they interviewed him, he said he learned the ancient secrets, whatever that means.

I will post what my friend say. We where discussing an ancient site in Lebanon, and he raise this up:

*About 50 miles south of me is a place called Coral Castle. It took about 28 years to build and it was built by a scrawny little man all by himself. His name was Edward Leedskalnin. So what is it about this place linking it to Baalbek. The man used NO heavy machinery and no one saw him building it and he only worked at night. The stones he used are on average heavier than the stones used to build the Great Pyramid of Giza and the largest stone he used is about 30 tons (almost 70,000 pounds) which is three times heavier than the largest stone in the Great Pyramid. Again, keep in mind he built this place in relatively modern times BY HIMSELF with no heavy equipment.

One story told is that he hired a truck to transfer the stones from one area to the next and when they arrived to the current location, he sent the truck driver away for lunch an when the driver got back, the stones were all off the truck and on the property.

Another story states that some young boys once spied in on him and they claim that they actually saw the large stones floating through the air. Reportedly, when Mr. Leedskalnin was asked how he managed to do such a monumental task all by himself, all he said was that he simply learned the secret of the ancients but never revealed what that secret was.

You can do a search on Coral Castle to read and see for yourself.

In another account I once read where a Jesuit priest that came over to Peru with the Spanish Conquistadors to convert the native Indians was witness to an amazing feat. He watched the natives levitate huge stones just by using a particular sound pitch. Copy and paste the link below to see how sound [waves] can actually cause things to levitate off the ground.

Did the ancients use some simple process to lift huge stones that did not require any great manpower or tools? They clearly knew things we don't know today that might be right under our noses. We are still left in amazement of some of the things they left behind. They remain total mysteries to us. *

Anybody know what basis is used to determine they built them in 20 years??

I saw one thing were over 100,000 people were working on them. Would there not be more evidence of a city in that area if that were the case?

Just asking

I guess it's by context and science.

The pyramids are surrounded by cemeteries of other tombs. And in these tombs are bodies. Sometimes they (archaeologist) find organic materials, like fragments of reed, and wood, wooden coffins. They find the bones of the people who lived and were buried in these tombs. All that can be radiocarbon dated, for example. But primarily they date the pyramids by their position in the development of Egyptian architecture and material culture over the broad sweep of 3,000 years.

You can check up more on this site if you care to:

Man built them

there were no slaves involved

Thank you. Slaves would very likely not have the skills to cut the stone and then place it.

As far as moving it, all evidence point to them using giant sleds to pull it while people wet the ground in front of it to make it move easier. They have found evidence of the teams having names and competitions to see who could move them most. The Egyptians had some highly developed math skills from the time and extremely good astronomy skills. They could have easily lined them up the way the are.

I've always been disappoint that people don't want to give credit when credit is do to the ancient Egyptians (or any ancient people). They weren't idiots.

No one is saying acient civilizations were idiots, but with our view on the world for some folks its hard to grasp how a civilization without the amenities that we have at our disposal today could have built such monstrous and elaborate structures.

I understand this but no one thinks the Great Wall or the Colosseum or Parthenon were built by aliens. Why hate on the Egyptians?

They were brilliant! The Mayan calender accurately predicted things centuries in advance! All those civilizations understood a lot more than we give them credit for. They figured out the sun and the moon.

And you can figure out one degree off the north pole without fancy stuff.

I still think it's people being narrowed minded. It's the "How dare these primitive people think they can build things without our technology" mindset. It's a dangerous thing to think.

Far few people associate the Mesoamerican societies with pyramids, which is why I'm focusing on the Egyptian ones. And ancient Egypt has been a passion of mine since elementary school so I'm a little bias in that way.

Not narrowmindedness on my part. ANcient Egyptian culture AND alien visitation/ lay lines/ earth grids/Mayan calender/Fourth dimensional theory/pole shifts and even Atlantis...have been a passion of mine for over 30 years, and I have literally devoured books on the subject.

So, I base my beliefs on what I have learned in my readings over a long period of time.

I actually think the Egyptians were NOT primitive, they were far more advanced than us, and open to different technologies that have since been lost and/or covered up.

I respect the fact that you have something to back up your beliefs (though I don't believe them myself) and not dismiss their accomplishments completely. Since I haven't done much reading on it recently, what sort of evidence is there for aliens helping/completely building the Pyramids (beyond the "humans couldn't manage it back then" argument)?

If you want a link, then I cant help you. If you want "physical proof", well, I cant help you there either.

I can however give you a list of different books to read if you are interested and google supplies lots of different explanations too.
One book I can reccommend is The Secret Chamber by Robert Duval.

I've been to the Coral Castle - it is a little freaky to see it in person and realize that the one guy did it all by himself.

As for the pyramids, I have no real clue - but I will say that I align myself most closely with Tracey's ideas.
