The pause and reflect is because they will never pass it now. They dawdled too long and now the opportunity has passed.

What they will now do is try to use it for their gain this November. They will blame its failure to get passed on the republicans for being obstructionists. They probably are dumb enough to think people will buy that. Considering the fact they originally had planned to rush this into passage months ago it will be a stupid tactic. Last fall when they went on recess they blew their chance. It gave enough time for people to see how crappy the plan was. Been all downhill since.

So much for a crisis eh :D

Politicians. Gotta love em :D

For some reason I feel like singing "Ding Dong the Witch is Dead." I'll save that for when either Pelosi or Boxer is voted out of office though...

I think Pelosi's days are numbered. Same with Reid.

I would not accept the job of Majority Leader if a Democrat in the future. That is a job killer :D

No idea about Boxer

All of Boxers Republican challengers are polling within a couple percentage points of her. She's in for the fight of her life....

Pelosi will get re-elected more than likely... her district is the most liberal in California, and perhaps even the entire country. Her lowest re-election percentage was about 78% in this last election. Reid's days are numbered, of that I'm fairly certain. Danny Tarkanian has a lot of money and a lot of name recognition behind him. Boxer's poll numbers are falling, she went from having a 9 point lead on Fiorina in November to at 3 point lead now. She has 4 and 6 point leads over the other two Republicans in the primary. This is the closest competition she's seen in a long time. Y'all remember that water issue I've been posting about? Well that's a big part of her eroding popularity here with the Hispanic community.

Pelosi will likely get reelected, but I'm not so sure about her position as Speaker. Of course, I don't know what secrets she has on her coworkers.
