Team,
As you know, this winter's storms have posed many transportation issues for our employees. This places a heavier workload on those who do make it into the office. It also places an hours and earnings hardship on those who cannot get here. We would like to help facilitate a solution during these weather events for those of you that are interested.
We are compiling a list of employees who drive AWD's, 4x4's, SUV's, or Trucks who would be willing to give rides to fellow co-workers when these situations arise. This information would be accessible to the Management team only and used at our discretion when we are encountering a weather crisis that is impacting the majority of our staff. If you agree to be on the list, we would cross reference your area of town and provide your name and phone number to employees who are looking for transportation. Again, this is a voluntary process facilitated by us to ease the burden for all during winter storms.
If you are willing to be on the list of those who can provide transportation to others, please e-mail me directly with your scheduled shift and days, home address, neighborhood name, nearest major intersection, and the phone number you would like to be contacted on. We would only give your name as a reference if you were within two to three miles of the employee needing a ride, or if their location was on your way into work. You can have your name removed from the contact list at anytime by e-mailing your Supervisor.
