I can see how it might be possible for a man to look down upon the earth and be an atheist, but I cannot conceive how he could look up into the heavens and say there is no God.
- Abraham Lincoln
When I look back at the things that I have said and done in the past. It saddens me. But when I look at my future and see the joy in my sons eyes. I am lifted up and feel the most at piece.
My son wanted me to lay down with him for awhile this morning. So we are laying in his bed and he just wanted to talk about how much he misses my mom. That gave me a mix of emotions. Sad and happy. I miss both my parents. But I find peace in knowing I will someday be with them again.
Oh don't get me wrong I totally agree with what you said. There are just things that I wish I would have said or did for my parents. Now I never will have that chance again.Don't let your past sadden you sweety. When I think that way I just remind myself that my past was merely a stepping stone...I believe that the life we lead before we get to know God is a life that needed to be lived.![]()

I started going back to church with my son and my Gf/ his mom. That was one thing that my parents loved. They were very devot Catholics. However I choose to go to a non denominational church. Either way I think that they would be very pleased that we have come back to church.Maybe indirectly you can by taking care of the people they cared for or continue what made them happy/ inspired them. Continue their visions, their dreams...........That's life's cycle, imo.

Before my parents both passed away. I was going with my son and his mom. Then we split for almost 2 years and I strayed away from god. We got back together last October and within the last 3 weeks we have been going back. I know my parents are looking over us smiling when they see us active in church.I used to be RCatholic too. Now am with a non-denominational church. That's awesome news for you to go back to church esp be a role model for your son. Your parents must be rejoicing seeing you now! Kudos :thumbup

It'v very easy to say things but being able to act them out is another. You can't be a piece of shit to someone one minute and then say something totally different the next and pretend to be a good Christian.
