I havent configured the nameservers yet so it isn't stand alone at this time. For now, you can see the site progress at www.offtopicz.net/moddedmustangs/forums

Any suggestions about layout or anything are welcome. I chose the Athena template, it can always be changed later but for now thats it. Also, Im hoping Tim will be available to make a logo, I made a quick one up for now.

the accounts are different i assume? would we have to re-register? someone mentioned the offtopic section being linked back to here - hows that gonna work as far as login is concerened?

also, so i assume if you are using athena, that the articles and stuff will be integrated into the "forums" as opposed to a section just for articles?

one more suggestion.. maybe there should be a section for exhasut sounds, since everyone is always asking about what peopls cars sound like.. or would that be part of the 'cardomain'ey part of the site

you are going to make me take web design sooner than i was going to joe.... so far so good... tim definitly needs to get to creatin a new banner... how long before you can get everything up and running?? just curious...

the new site is coming along sweet. i love how you divided the various categories. much better than MF already :rock

I belive I'll have to make the accounts different, just because I don't want folks that join offtopicz to be automatically members of moddedmustangs for my own reasons.

Articles: plans are for them to be their own separate area, accessable from both the forums and the main page.

Exhaust sounds: there is a section just for exhaust, I think they'd fit best there don't you?

Estimated time frame for opening is approx a week. Until then feel free to register over there and make some bullshit posts and stuff so that it can be debugged, Im sure theres gonna be errors here and there with all the things I'll be doing and I'd like to have those fixed before it goes public. Be warned though, all posts made may be erased - but I'll probably leave the usernames in.

yeah i guess, if it was a sticky - the only reason i brought it up was becasue soetimes people go lookig for specific sounds on certain models with certain mufflers and stuff, and its hard to search for it sometimes..
i was thinking something like the mustangexhaust has it set up, maybe also by diff midpipes too..

i dunno if that would be too hard and complicated for such a small detail though. i guess its not so important for the grand opening
