I could do without it if needed. I remember growing up and we got electricity in 1958. Got telephone the following year. It was a party line where you counted the rings to know if it was for you. I would miss heating and cooling more than anything. Back to the old days of sleeping in the basement all summer to stay cool.

Business of the world ran before without technology and it is also running with technology .
Technology has made life more miserable...more susceptible to destruction and unnatural too.

indeed businesses have run without technology...but so much more has been accomplished...so much progress...may seem unnatural but also natural in the sense that it's just the natural order of things to progress...and this was was the next natural step to better ourselves...to be a more advanced society

now has technology made us more miserable...in a sense yes and in another sense no...yes in the fact that hardly anyone talks face to face anymore if they don't have to and rather text than phone each other instead of hearing the other's voice...however...social media outlets such as My Space, and Facebook in the more modern era have brought families...friends...people together more than they otherwise would have been...and visual applications such as Face Time and Skype have helped families stay in touch with each other, particularly I have members of the military on the mind as I write that...such is life, there are pros and cons to every argument that could be posed

Do you think you could live without technology?
.....................................

So much of what I enjoy involves some kind of technology, I wouldn't freely choose to.
But having been raised on a farm, I do know how to live with a lot less tech than my citified neighbors and depend more on myself.

Yes and no. I believe that I could hunt for myself and be able to protect myself but nowadays there is just way too many people on this planet. We simply don't have enough resources to allow people to all find ways to hunt and gather on their own. If you think about it, any form of farming and pastoralism utilizes technology, so we would all have to forage. Many of us would die and I would have to rely on quite a bit of luck to make it :/

Nope, it would be almost impossible. I am studying computer engineering in college, so my whole future depends on technology so far. Also, I use technology to keep in contact with friends who live in different cities, so without phones and computers I'd lose contact with a lot of my friends. I've come to rely so much on technology, life would become extremely difficult for me if it ceased to exist for whatever reason.

Of course not! There is technology around us everywhere we go and I honestly cannot go a day without using some sort of technology. I start to panic when I see my phone battery getting low. Now if we lived in a time where there was absolutely no technology around, than yes! However, that is not the case.

I really don't think I could cope without technology. I rely on it heavily especially for my job and my social life....please don't get rid of it :p

It is possible to live without high technology; we did it! Now that we know what we lost, it is obvious that we don't want. Walking from a city to another just to tell your brother that you will visit it tomorrow; it is so simple with an email! :D
