The terrorists are actually quite sophisticated, and they don't live in caves. Well, a few of the highly-sought ones (like bin-laden) do, but most live, look, and act like normal civilians.

I heard they used Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 to train the hijackers how to fly the planes they were planning on hijacking.

If I am not mistaken I thought all of those guys who flew the planes took some form of flight lessons.

I have flown a two seater many times. The basics are the same as long as you are on manual. Sure there are a lot of other things that are involved in a big plane but the basics I believe are the same fundamentally.

As stated these were no cave dwellers. They were specifically chosen because they had been assimilated into western societies. Give em a manual or a flight simulator and it seems pretty easy to see how they would be able fly into the towers. The only one I would question would be the one that came down in PA that was supposedly headed to DC. That would take some navigating to accomplish. Which you can only learn from either knowing the instruments on the plane or a lot of hours in the air to do visually

Lawlz, my mistake. Ok, an earlier version of the software then.

And to the post after that one, no, they did not stop making the software. The latest version is Flight Simulator X, and it just came out less than two years ago.
