agreed, i would wager more have killed because of what they read in The Bible, than in Salingers classicI think it's a bit silly to associate any books/music/films with murders in general.
A few murderers may have read a certain book (like Catcher in the Rye) but many many normal people read those books (Catcher in the Rye is actually a set exam text in some GCSE English Literature papers, so THOUSANDS of 15-16year olds have to read it every year) without commiting murder.
Kinda like sitting on a bus, riding Mein Kampf- you'll get a lot of odd stares even if you are reading it for educational purposes.
