I've been think of one of the more expensive Canon bodies. Wadda ya think Siph? You need to buy a decent camera body then eh*runs*
I've been chewing it over... really I have... because I see a lot of nice stuff here once in a while. I've also been thinkin' that if I get into photography I would rather enjoy taking pictures of waterfalls and we have loads of those here. I've seen a few here where the water looks all fuzzy and stuff. You know what I mean by fuzzy don't you? Maybe those aren't for real shots and have had the dickens worked in some editing program but I sure do like 'em? I dunno... I'm so confused.i think you might enjoy that:ninja
I think what he's saying is that if you start with a basic Canon DSLR and buy lenses for it, down the road when you want to upgrade you don't have to buy new lenses because they will work on a bunch of different Canon models. Nikon is the same. The lenses fit a wide range of camera bodies.
I am also a believer in you get what you paid for.
Perhaps the lenses and accessories are more expensive for Canon, I can't say. I went to look at prices on Best Buy's website and the basic DSLR models (includes 18-55mm kit lens) are the same price. And Best Buy has the Canon EOS Digital Rebel XS on sale right now so it's actually a bit cheaper at the moment. Have you gone out to compare prices yourself?Sort of I got it- but wanted to be sure given what I hear others saying about Canon being so much more expensive. Thanks for making it simpler Zirc![]()

If you were in Canada, I'd direct you to a Black's Photography store. From my experience they're very knowledgeable and they also offer a one hour personal tutorial on every camera that they sell. Perhaps you should come visit me.:ninja
You should come on December 26 and catch all the Boxing Day sales. (Boxing Day is like Black Friday but not quite as epic.)Yeah I'd been browsing online for pricing and comparing specs etc. I saw there's a lot of sales everywhere especially this Friday. Thanks for checking. I plan to grab that opportunity
That's cool about that store and providing tutorials eh?! If I am not mistaken, I've seen some specialty stores of Canon somewhere around my area- just need to google that. Hoping they offer the same thing Black's does.
Btw- I would wanna visit Dec 27 to b4 New Year. But nah, changed my mind- that visitor of yours might think threes a crowd:24: :24:
