I'm with Fred, usually it's not the problem of falling to sleep but staying asleep. I wake up a lot at 2am and have trouble getting back to sleep. I too use an asprin pm, but if it's too close to my getting up time I don't want to be drugged (I get up at 6am). I have tried a hot bath, reading, playing poker on the puter, watching tv and simply giving up. Tossing and turning only disturbs my hubby, who snores badly since gaining weight and if I wake up, forget getting back to sleep hearing that! He wakes himself up he snores so bad at times.
