It was a great game and beats losing in a stupid shoot out. I just wish it had been anybody but Cindy that scored and it had been a better goal. Miller should have had the angle on that one.

the winning goal reminded me of when Bobby Orr scored in 1970. puck goes to the corner and Sid found a way to beat Miller. Lunogo played pretty damn good too!!!

not me, but others. especially Miller, like you said played a great series and he lost. USA tends to think we own the world and sometimes can't understand second place is just fine. crazy? not really, after all I am still a fan if they came in last!

I feel bad for Miller because he DID play an amazing tournament. If Canada had lost I would have found the silver medal a hard pill to swallow. As it is, as soon as this game is out on DVD it's being bought by one hardcore hockey fan in Saskatoon. Heck, I might even spring for the Blu-ray.
i think the USA had no care for hockey until everyone was reminded that it was thirty years since they won gold. stop dragging out the old cliches like we deserve to win because its been so long. be grateful we had a competing team! plus the players from 1980 are probably tired of being compared to something that long ago.

i am torn between the NHL going or not going to Sochi,on one hand I want to see juniors get the chance to play for a medal but on the other you cannot argue that it was good hockey throughout

Ovechkin has stated adamantly that he's going to the Sochi Olympics regardless of if the NHL is there. Whether or not that has any bearing on the final decision remains to be seen.
