"Would you give him his garden (the marriage gift he had given her) back?" she said: "Yes". The Prophet then instructed the man to take back his garden and accept the dissolution of the marriage"

This quote relates to a woman asking for divorce 'without giving any reason'.... she went for arbitration and agreed to the decision thereof to that she would let go the garden she had given her husband earlier . I am not sure about this tradition yet I do not find anything wrong with it because that is 'mutual' and 'by consent'.

look.....i know more than you realise about islam,i know how the 4 wife thing came about, and a woman having sex with more than one man would be stoned in most muslim countries,so she cant take more than one husband

and i didn't say muslims were taking muslims as slaves....i said slavery was still common,a harem is a form of slavery, sexual slavery...and its there, especially in the islamic stronghold of saudi

your trying to brainwash the unbrainwashable here

Come on, your information is not correct because you have neither traveled to those places nor have any proof.

No question about it that a woman having sex with 4 men would instantly be killed in Saudia, in particular. The men would also follow her suit. That is their LAW! But the question is where else does she take more than ONE husband?? And why not if those countries are different than Saudia ??

Their is opposing difference between a slave and an 'inmate' of a harem (usually women). Keeping more than one wife in any Muslim family in a place together is called a Harem where stranger men are not allowed.
Most Muslim Kings and filthy rich Muslims had been keeping harems in the past .....but those women were not slaves but their wives and got the same benefits as any wife would get...and her children! Any Muslim state doesn't provide financial or other support to Muslim men or women so they cannot do as people do in the West!! This is because NO state in the world can be called truly Islamic State...there is none, including Saudia!!

I have no need to brainwash anyone....just to state my observations, that's all!!

Wait a second, I'm confused here. You had an issue with a woman having multiple husbands in this thread

http://www.offtopicz.net/showthread.php?t=66374

You said that it would be encouraging orgies, which would be a bad thing for society in your estimation.

I don't have any issue with anyone regarding having 4 husbands or not!
Multiple husbands having tendency for orgies is an opinion and if someone differs good for him/her!

So you're contradicting yourself then. Okay, good to know. It's okay to say one thing in one discussion to prove your point, but it's okay to say something else entirely in another to prove a different point. At least I know where you're coming from now.

Whats your opinion on arranged marriages?

A 13 y.o girl here was just stopped from leaving the country by child services. (cheers):thumbup:clap

her parents who are "strict muslims" were sending her OS to be married...SHe's been prohibited from leaving the country until she's 18 and her parents have had to surrender her passport.

Whats your views on that?

Just keep to the point and do not side track the matter into things
personal you have no concern with.

Both the topics are open for discussion...and obviously do not imply any personal encumbrance.
So, just keep to the point....without assailing others with rude comment.

I haven't made any rude comments... I've merely pointed out the fact that you're a hypocrite. Which helps others in whether or not they want to continue having a discussion with you. You can't have things both ways.

I also notice the fact that you've completely ignored my comments about persecution of Christians in fact taking place in Muslim countries. Funny how when you're presented with facts that detract from your agenda, you completely ignore them.

Did you ask me??
That's a news just like any other news...
unless you provided me with complete details I may not be
able to give you comprehensive comment.
However, the question asked is off topic...and need another thread for that!

Dude... are you incapable of reading anything that I've posted? Christians are discriminated against in Egypt and Saudi Arabia. There's documented proof of it. Go look it up, it's really not that difficult? Or do you not want to believe that your religion could perpetrate such horrible atrocities?

Where am I a hypocrite by the way? I haven't judged, I merely pointed out that you've stated two different opinions for the same subject. That is by definition hypocrisy.

Child marriages are common among Hindus more than Muslims....and they have their reasons for that. There are laws in Muslim countries against child marriage yet poverty, socio-cultural and economic factors tend people to violate it.
Child marriages are bad.. yet India, Bangla Desh, West Bengal, Assam, Burma, and some parts in Pakistan and Afghanistan child marriages do take place..and those are mostly related to socio-economic reasons and not religion, especially Muslims!

come on , let's go hunting for him as well!!

This doesn't appeal to common sense because how could a
person who has influenced billions of people could do that?
I do not understand why some Muslims spread such stories?? Perhaps, it's their hate for Ayesha (Shia's hate her) or sectarianism. Deplorable indeed!
