The Host - Stephenie Meyer

I actually prefer this book to the Twilight series :) I'm desperate for her to write a sequel already.

I'm reading If I Stay by Gayle Forman. It's about a girl who gets in a car crash with her family and has an out of body experience where she has to decide whether to stay and live (her parents are killed immediately and her little brother's fate is uncertain) or leave and move on to be with her family. It's so sad, right from the start.

I'm not sure if I like it yet. I'm about 100 pages in and I think it's been quite slow paced but the plot isn't bad. Though I'm hoping that it's now going to pick up the pace.

Yeah it's not the fastest pace ever, but once you get a bit further in it gets more interesting! And things start happening a bit faster eventually as well. It's probably better when you've read it once because then you know what's relevant to the rest of the book.

That's good to know! I've gotten to where she has
found her Uncle Jeb and Jared has been told that he needs to be the one to make the decision. Quite amazed to see that Sharon was there so I can't wait to read on and discover more about that

Bones of the Cuttlefish, which is a collection of poems by one of the greatest modern poets, Montale.
And Wasteland by T.S Elliot

and the Memoirs of William Tecumseh Sherman. Which I have been reading through slowly for about a year now.

The Year of Magical Thinking by Joan Didion

from the jacket: "...This powerful book is Didion's attempt to make sense of the 'weeks and then months that cut loose any fixed idea I ever had about death, about illness...about marriage and children and memory...about the shallowness of sanity, about life itself.'"

She's a fav. author of mine.

Foursome - Jane Fallon.

It's a girly relationship book. Not quite as flowery as some, but definitely not serious reading :)
