As a matter of fact it was just stated a few minutes ago that senate was expected to work through the weekend hammering out some kind of middle of the road solution.
Personally.....I think they need to file bankruptcy, and that would entitle them to re-negotiate with the unions, and re-structure.
I think if the government gives them anything, they will piss it away
Just wait -- the costs will be 10X more if they file bankruptcy. Toyota and Honda will be fucked too. You are as knowledgable about manufacturing as Shelby!
Or maybe it'll blossom with companies who don't have to pay off extorting unionists.I'm not sure you complimented me or insulted me
However......Maybe what this country needs....Is a good swift kick in the nuts, the years and years of corporate corruption and excesses, the years of socialized employee structures, and inefficiency have wrought this.
Why the fuck should I pay for it in taxes, I own a GM (against my will...My wife wanted one) so the way I see it, I supported them, they didn't support us.
Fuck them.....Every last one of them. Maybe car manufacturing will blossom with private auto makers who are innovative and concerned with customer service.
Or maybe it'll blossom with companies who don't have to pay off extorting unionists.
I agree wholeheartedly. :thumbupThe unions will ochestra the fall of the auto industry if they won't accept job and wage cuts. Bailout wont solve the problem instead it will just defer the problem. The auto industry should follow what Citi bank has done. Citi cut 53,000 jobs and they deserved the bailout whereas the auto industry did nothing to streamline or restructure and they expect government to play Santa Claus.
