I remember that he tried protecting that wolf...but it wasn't like: OMFG GRANDMOTHER WILLOW GUESS WHAT I DID TODAY type of stuff.

It was amazing! I loved this movie so much. The message behind it was really good and I was on the edge of my seat the entire time.

Also, I don't see how it would be similar to District 9...

The only thing I even see similar is that one character began the ugly transformation from human to alien and only decided to help the aliens so he could perhaps stay or turn human again...

Then Jake loved Pandora and the Na'vi, he helped them because he felt it was right, NOT for his own personal gain. Sure you could say he did it because he was in love and he could walk, but he didn't find out about being able to stay in his avatar body until the end of the movie... Other than that I think they are completely different movies. Then again I found District 9 to be so horrible there were times where I wasn't paying attention. Though I did for the most part.

I thought it was pretty good movie, very visually spectacular, with enough plot to keep me awake. It’s not going to win best picture, but I found it good entertainment even if it’s a concept that has been used many times before.

I went to see Avatar last night. Couldn't get in to see it in IMAX because it was sold out so we had to settle for 3D in the regular theater. Awesome awesome movie. Very poetic.

Dates YOU? I was in high school when it was in theaters (grade 10 or 11). :p I wasn't allowed to go to movies growing up so, yeah, never saw it. :ninja

lol I watched in on VHS when I was like six or seven.

My mom came bursting into the room because she thought some one was in the house about to kill me but I was just screaming over Dances with Wolves.

I was a bleeding heart from day one.
