I brought my mom who doesn't get out much. She oooo'ed and aaaaaahh'ed and oh no'ed her whole way through. I was slightly embarrassed. It was like bringing a 3 year old. But it gave me the same joy as it would to bring a 3 year old...

I'm jealous. I didn't find it that long either. But I find I have more patience when I am sick

People complain about 1 1/2 hour movies. I actually like it when movies are long if they are good. It did not seem that long to me.

I haven't seen Dances with wolves so I can't say if the plot was the same, but Avatar reminded me of Disney's Pocahontas. :willy_nilly:

Yeah I've heard a lot of people say it's a flash version of Pocahontas.

It's really more like Pochahantas with District 9. I wish I could have seen it in 3D, but it's $14. I'm tight on cash as it is....so I only saw it in 2D.
