I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma, a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth.

Atheism is just a non belief whereas religion is a whole set of rules that some religious types try to impose on others.

I think you really don't understand religion, yes there are rules but it is not imposed on me or others. If I want to sin, that is my prerogative no one else

I believe that I am sitting here typing out a response to you, but for all I know I am nothing more than a psychotic hallucination springing out of the deep recesses of some drugged and dying soldier laying down in a muddy foxhole halfway around the world 200 years ago. :dunno
Now that is how I've always thought of things. How do we even know that our existence really exists?

Well there's definitely nothing worse than someone with different views to yours, and the instant they find out yours clash they go "Oh but why? Are you serious? Why would you believe that? Yadda yadda yadda", I don't know how many times I have come across people trying to make me feel stupid for believing in something that they think I shouldn't just 'cause their views are different.

I like the Jehovah Witnesses. They knocked on my door every weekend when I lived in NY and asked me if I wanted a Bible. Through the door I would say no thank you I stole one out of the last hotel I stayed at. :24:

it's fine with most beliefs but religious ones can never really be argued against... I find that quite awkward sometimes...

we get a lot of them over here. They're thoroughly nice people generally. My favourites tho are the mormons - for some reason this part of Spain has a lot of mormon missionaries from the US and they're really nice, if not a little strange. They stop you in the street and just start chatting to you!

I never said the rules were imposed on me though in many countries they are imposed on others. You really should read more about religions role in world politics before spouting your mouth about stuff you clearly no nothing about.

Since all who don't obey the 10 commandments go to hell, I would say the rules are pretty bloody imposing!

I am chosing to ignore you from now on Tuffdisc, you're either here on some wind up or the most incredibly thick person I've ever met.

Oh good, thank goodness for that, phew!!! Ever met? I don't think I would want to meet a person who hates people just because they don't understand religion like you:thumbup

I just wanted to post this which proves that religion does force people to follow its ridiculous rules and thus proves Tuffdisc 100% wrong once again. No doubt, he'll probably follow this with more childish insults because he has been proved completely wrong and cant hack the fact that he is rather dense when it comes to what Christianity and the Bible teaches and does.

Who is throwing insults in the last two post that you have done? Have I done that? Oh well, just like yourself I think that is a little bit hypocritical:24:
