I find everyone fucking annoying if they are forcing their views down my throat and getting angry when I don't agree. And some atheists do fall into that category, as they can be just as bad as fundamentalists for thinking their views are superior and everyone should share their views. And getting downright rude when you don't agree.

I'm not an atheist as I believe there is some kind of higher being, but I'm not religious in anyway.

On a serious note, I really don't have any trouble with atheists, my experience with them has been they are less adamant and in your face about their opinion than say, born again Christians.

Atheism is just a non belief whereas religion is a whole set of rules that some religious types try to impose on others.

ie Darwinism and evolution, the big bang, etc

which is very true, but in itself very silly. It isn't necessary to believe in evolution or the big bang any more than it is necessary to believe in the blue sky, the sun or the sea.

Being an atheist comes with no beliefs, that's the whole point.

Religious = There is a God and there is nothing you can say to dissuade me from the fairytale I believe
Agnostic = I was told the same fairytale, but logic is hard to ignore, I'll keep my options open just in case
Atheist = Zeus, nope. Unicorn, nope. Ra, nope. Shen Yi, nope. Marduk, nope. God, nope. etc. etc.....

You don't need to believe in anything if you are an atheist. But you sure as hell aren't going to believe in creationism if you don't believe in God. So you are going to go with science. Evolution isn't a belief, neither are theories on the beginning of the universe.

There is nothing to believe of not believe when it comes to evolution - it just is, in the same way the sky is blue and the sea is water.

Everything is a belief and I mean everything. Nothing and I mean nothing is provable, but that has nothing to do with religious beliefs ie faith. Being an atheist doesn't address anything except not believing in any form of deity/god.
I believe that I am sitting here typing out a response to you, but for all I know I am nothing more than a psychotic hallucination springing out of the deep recesses of some drugged and dying soldier laying down in a muddy foxhole halfway around the world 200 years ago. :dunno
