My new co-worker that I share an office with has been going around talking about how people are being unprofessional in the office. Unprofessional by standing around talking and laughing and shit sometimes.

Yet...

She's talked to a friend of hers for an hour each time (don't know if it's the same friend) yesterday afternoon and this morning. She talks so loudly that she practically yells. Oh, and she has dipping tobacco in her mouth all the time and spits into a bottle in front of people. Then she was just practically screaming at someone because they didn't have the information she was looking for right then and there.

dipping tobacco is fucking disgusting... I cant stand seeing people spit into bottles or cups. Some guys will get around the smoking ban in bars by bringing chewing tobacco in. It shouldn't be allowed.
 
LOL Retro...I know exactly what you mean and deal with it on a daily basis here at work. I can't judge her for chewing, because I do sometimes, but refrain from carrying around a bottle at work among my co-workers. :yuk Though for some reason, seeing a woman chew is double :yuk I know that isn't fair.

Unfortunately, I don't have any answers for you, because I too find myself just going :willy_nilly:

Though I chew sometimes, I agree that chewing should not be allowed in bars. Not that I enjoy the smell of smoke, I'd rather deal with that than people knocking over spit bottles, trying to talk with a mouthful of spit, or accidentally drinking a beer only to find that it was a spit bottle.

but thanks for reminding me how blessed I am to have the job that I have. :p

and yes, chew should be banned from the office -I just realized last year that the bottles that I find on my curb aren't filled with iced tea :yuk

not only that but ive sen rednecks just up and spit on the carpet with no disregard

Does she have a boss that she reports to? If so..... perhaps you could slip a little note to the boss and fill him/her in. *shrugs*

..... if she annoys you... as it seems she does.... you might buy a small carton of GAS-X or something of the sort and set it on your desk where everyone can see it. Then eat some beans or gas producing foods and let 'er rip. Loudly if at all possible. Always look directly at her and smile and excuse yourself and motion towards the GAS-X on your desk. Do look sorry if at all possible. ;)

We all have the same boss... and he's infatuated with her. She's not even all that qualified for the job she's doing, but he found out she was out of work (she worked here previously) and practically hired her on the spot.
