has more to do with how serious you are about getting bass on a hook and reeling it in. he's awful good at it, but to someone older, not so serious about fishing, he's just another old beezer fishing. younger guys like to learn from him.

my cynic maybe. i've fished with him and his buddies going on 50 years. he's even still got one he knew when he was a kid healthy enough to fish. i don't get as excited about it as some, but i know how much passion a lot of people have about it and i know that anybody who missed out on or misses fishing with pop or grandpop would love to fish with my pop.I don't think age makes any difference. In some ways I am a far better fisherman today than I have ever been. Age doesn't measure passion. My grandfather was one of the best fisherman I had ever seen when he was in his 70's and outfished everyone he fished with. I think it was a joy for him much as you have described for your dad.
