is it possible for an animal to rape another animal?
is it possible for an animal to rape another animal?
is it rape tho?.. if it is in animal nature to just mount the nearest female... or indeed male..
so would u agree that when we were cave men we had such instincts?
I think there isn't a definition in animal husbandry. We are supposed to be a little more evolved than that...So I think
When I was in college I was in anthropology classes that discussed the evolution of man from sexual behavior rooted strictly in pro-creation (instinctual) to what we are now (pleasure plus creation) with often more emphasis on pleasure obvioulsy.
Then there is another layer, that seems to drive us back to our animalistic roots, and that is domination based carnal drives. Basically the use of sex for submission.
That is a link to animal ancestry.
We all have animalistic instincts still, the "reptilian" part of the brain controls them. However, even though prehistoric man was not as intelligent as we were, they still had an understanding of what they would conceive as "right" and "wrong".so would u agree that when we were cave men we had such instincts?
Self awareness does not equal morality or ethics. We aren't the only mammals who are self aware and therefore, I believe other species know right from wrong although their mental definition of whats right varies from ours because of the way their brains are hardwired.

Also, I think the major defining difference between humans and other animals is that we have a conscience and (should) know right from wrong.
