Ed, you know it all. I won't expend any more energy trying to entice you to consider another possibility even if it may be remote. :)

When man didn't know why the sun came up every day, why the seasons changed, why the weather happened, why there were stars in the sky at night, why the tides came and went, why crops sometimes died, why people passed away, there was a lot of room for mystical things.

Now, there just isn't the room any more. All of the above is easily explainable by anyone with the slightest knowledge of the world around us.

I'm afraid I can only give 0.1% chance to things like angels. As with God, I have to say there is a possibility. But the more we know, the slighter that possibility gets.

No, they are not real.

I'm not sure why people take extraordinary circumstances or events to be evidence for them.

Many people find hope and strength in faith, while others think it's all rubbish
I am an athiest and have attended church in my life a few times but that was when I was very little.
I feel that faith in humanity and each other is what we need not some allmighty power that may or may not exist.

I have faith but I am not religious - Something along those lines was said in a film . . . I have just forgotten the name of . . . damn

The size of what we know is a marble while the unknown might be the size of our universe. It may be prudent to base your judgments on what you can see, but if you wander into philosophy, it becomes less concrete and requires an open minded approach to discover what might be there.

How can you have faith but be an atheist at the same time?

I have no faith in any religion but faith in others.

You're too optimistic.

But he answered your question. :)

The world need optimists

Optimism, an important corner stone of humanity.

This is very true. We simply don't know. But we do know something like an angel would go against the natural laws of our universe.

Maybe they live in another universe? Or another, unidentifiable dimension?

We simply cannot say either way. But the evidence so far is against it in this universe and in the dimensions we're aware of.

I'm Agnostic (More as if like this: "I don't care if there is relgion or not"), but all in all, it doesn't entirely matter what we believe in... what matters is what you believe in, and as long as you stick to it, I'm sure that it will all be real (well, for you at least)

I'm willing to bet that many of us have witnessed or participated in an event where we somehow feel the outcome turned in our favor as if an invisible hand was present. I have no idea if it is my mind playing tricks on me or something else, but I wonder about it.

How are you regarding spirituality a solid maybe or NO WAY? ;)

I'm sure many have. I can't recall anything myself. I'd certainly be interested to hear any stories people might have.
